Jeffrey Kirby gets nine years…

The man involved in the car crash that killed TapouT co-founder Charles Lewis in 2009 was sentenced to nine years in prison today. Jeffrey Kirby was found guilty of vehicular manslaughter in December for crashing his car into Lewis' Ferreri while under the influence of alcohol. Kirby had a blood alcohol level of .13 at the time of the accident.

Judge Richard F. Toohey heard statements from Lewis' siblings, as well as TapouT co-founder Dan Caldwell and Lewis' girlfriend Lacy Lynn White, who was also in the accident, before giving his sentence ruling.
